Jan-Michael Weir

 

Jan-Michael is an award winning graduate of George Brown Theatre School. He returns to Humber River Shakespeare this summer after playing Malvolio in their triumphant opening season of Twelfth Night. He has had the honour of working with such amazing theatre artists,  which is the true gift of this vibrant art, and he has gained astoundingly for it. Favourite roles include: Malvolio (Humber River Shakespeare/Director:Kevin Hammond); Lucerne (Shadowpath Theatre/Lee Wilson); Romeo/Claudius (Theatre By The Bay/Brett Christopher); Macbeth (Resurgence Theatre/Anthony Leo); Mercutio (Gairbraid Theatre/David Armour); Steve in the Canadian premiere of Waiora (The Centre for Indigenous Theatre/Jani Lauzon); Andrey in Three Sisters (WDC in Vancouver/Garrey Davey); Romeo, Richard III, Lucio (Summer Shakespeare/Reed Needles, Christopher Lockett, Scott Holden); Moss in GlenGarry Glen Ross (Dwin Theatre/Deane Billington-Whitely); and in his graduating season at George Brown: Fainall in Way of the World dir. by Diana Leblanc; Flan in Six Degrees of Separation dir. by Jordan Pettle; The President in Madwoman of Chaillot dir. by Jason Byrne; and the Father in Blood Wedding dir. by Todd Hammond.
